AM NIC - The Technical Backbone of Armenia’s Domain Name System AM NIC - Armenia Network Information Centre AM NIC is responsible for the stable, secure and reliable operation of Armenia’s .am and .հայ domain spaces, connecting Armenia’s national domain infrastructure to the global Internet. AM NIC began its operations in parallel with the launch of .am, Armenia’s country-code top-level domain (ccTLD), in the mid-1990s. For more than three decades, the Centre has played a key role in developing and maintaining Armenia’s domain name infrastructure, ensuring its technical stability, security and resilience. The Centre’s technical operations encompass the Domain Name System (DNS), domain data management and WHOIS services. In line with international Internet governance principles, established industry practices, and evolving technical standards, AM NIC continuously enhances its infrastructure, services and operational capabilities. AM NIC’s mission is to ensure the secure, stable and uninterrupted operation of Armenia’s domain spaces, enabling .am and .հայ domain names to remain accessible, reliable and trusted from anywhere in the world.
